In 1957 and 1958 it didn't get any plainer than the Scotsman. It featured painted hubcaps and no body moldings. Options available included electric windshield wipers and a passenger's sun visor. If you wanted a radio you had to find an aftermarket option as it was not available. The 1957 Scotsman sold for $1826 while the cost of the 1958 model increased to $1874. Apparently for the extra frugal buyer you could order the car with painted bumpers.
