Protective coloration

 

I enjoy photos that show (or in this case hide) examples of of protective coloration.  The photo above includes a snake.  I was unable to find the snake until a hint was provided. If you would like to try to locate it before the hint you may do that now.

If you were unable to locate the snake perhaps it will be a bit easier when I tell you that the snake is not far from the lighter green leaf that is near the center of the photo. If you are still unable to locate the snake please come back tomorrow and I will reveal his location.

Dream Car of Faroe 1955

This a homebuilt car by Almar Nordhaug.  He was a Norwegian living on the Faroe Islands. It was built on a Vauxhall Cresta chassis and drivetrain.  He hand built the body.  The roof was from an airplane.

1959 Abarth Alfa Romeo 1300 Berlinetta

 Originally three prototype cars were built by Abarth in conjunction with Alfa Romeo.  Two were crashed in testing and the project was abandoned. Designer Luigi Colani bought the wrecked cars and rebodied one in fiberglass in his own design.  The car still exists.
