I am a little perplexed concerning the exhaust pipes .  That appears to be a flat head V8 engine and there are only three exhaust pipes servicing the four cylinders on the left side of the engine.

Type 5 Micheline

In 1931 the Micheline Type 5 traveled the 136 miles (219km) between Paris and Deauville in two hours and three minutes.  That beat the "Rapide De Luxe" steam train by 32 minutes.

The steam train was able to carry 200 passengers while the capacity of the Micheline Type 5 was 15.

Dunkle's Art Deco Gulf

I had the occasion to drive through Bedford, PA last week.  This building visually popped out when it came into view. 

Dick Dunkle opened the business in 1933, and it has been in operation since.  It provided an opportunity for gasoline and snacks for travelers on the Lincoln Highway.  It still offers full service and repairs. The terra cotta exterior is showing some patina, but remains in remarkably good condition.

Kei cars

In Japan there is a vehicle classification called Kei.  They are the smallest highway legal passenger cars. They are restricted in dimensions and engine size, similar to EU city cars.  Owners of these vehicles enjoy insurance and tax benefits. Kei cars represent one-third of domestic new car sales in Japan.
