Whitwood Monocar 1934-36

Frederick Osborn was an Englishman who began building bicycles and then turned to motorcycles in 1901.

The Whitwood was a two wheeled vehicle that had retractable outrigger wheels operated by a lever similar to a hand brake. It was offered with three engine options from 250 to 1000cc. Apparently only six examples were built.
