Engineer Paul Jones built the Sabre 60 in 1948. The body is fiberglass panels over a wooden frame. It is on a Willys Overland chassis. It has a Ford flathead 60 engine and a 1937 Lincoln Zephyr transmission.
It was labeled the "Junkyard Mongrel" because most of the parts were obtained from junkyards. Total cost of the car in 1948 is said to be $250.
