Frank Kurtis designed the Kurtis in 1949. it was built on a 1949 Ford chassis and powered by a supercharged Studebaker engine. Base price was $3495 with options sometimes running the price up to $5000 which was $1000 more than a new Jaguar XK120 at the time. Read more about the Kurtis here.
