Regensburg Sausage Kitchen

This might be the oldest public restaurant in the world.  It was erected in 1135 as a construction office for the building of the Regensburg stone bridge.  In 1146 it was repurposed as a restaurant and served dockers, sailors, and workers in the St. Peter cathedral workshop.  The current building replaced the original in the 17th century, but there is evidence that the "new" building has the same footprint as the 12th century structure.  The family who currently owns the building took over in 1806.  They serve 6000 sausages a day.  Read more here.

Roadside prank

In 1959 there was an accident in Winganon, Oklahoma, that involved a concrete truck.   The truck was removed, but the "mixer" was full of concrete and was left at the side of the road.  Since then it has been the target of numerous people armed with paint.  In 2011 a couple painted the mixer to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary, and it apparently has held up quite well.  More information and photos are here.

I love the imagery in this video, but the sound track gets a bit redundant.

Ready about

A list of errors would include allowing crew to sit on the boom in what would appear to be a very fresh breeze, and preparing to come about before all aboard were aware of the planned maneuver.  The guy standing in the cockpit came very close to getting a concussive blow to the head.
