1956 Austin Healey 100 Coupe

This Austin Healey was purchased by Ralph Boothe while stationed with the US Army in Germany. He and friends drove it throughout Europe before shipping it to the United States and trailering it to his new home in California. The car was in need of a full restoration and Ralph took it a step further.

He built a wooden buck and handed the body fabrication to California Metal Shaping. At the time CMS was making Daytona Coupes for Shelby's AC Cobras. They fabricated the custom top and deck lid from 18 gauge steel before sending the pieces to Gil's Auto Body in East Los Angeles where the final welding and assembly was done.
