1922 Persu Streamliner

Aurel Persu was a Romanian engineer and car designer. He was the first to place the car's wheels inside the body in an effort to make it more aerodynamic efficient. He was an interesting individual and made contributions to the aviation industry as well as teaching at the Polytechnic Institute. He was ousted by the communist regime after WW2. At the age of 60 he joined a professional orchestra playing the cello. Only one car was ever built and when he was no longer able to drive he donated his car to the Dimitrije Leonida Technical Museum in Bucharest.  It remains there and the car's odometer shows 120,000 kilometers. 1954 Dodge Firearrow II

 The Firearrow II was designed by Virgil Exner and built by Ghia. It was powered by a 241 cu.in. hemi V8. It January 2009 it sold at an RM Auction for $800,000. Additional information at Silodrome.

1957 Chrysler Diablo concept
