1956 Ford Country Sedan wagon

I ran across several photos today while cleaning up my work space. I purchased this wagon in 1975 and drove it for a couple of years. It was completely original and had a V8 and an automatic transmission. The young man who bought it didn't have it long before he totaled it.

These convertibles was built in Ireland for the US market. Only ten were produced.

 

1956 Packard Caribbean

 This is one of 256 Caribbeans made in 1956- the final year of production. It has 7544 miles on it. It is offered at $109,000. These cars were priced at $1200 more than a Cadillac Eldorado. The seat cushions snapped into place so you could occasionally turn them around for a different look. Read more about this Packard here.

1941 Ford Western Flyer

Brook Stevens designed the Western Flyer in 1937. There were 26 variations of the van produced. This particular one is believed to have been built either for the Campbell Baking Company or SC Johnson. In 2011 a hot rod builder, Howdy Ledbetter, got his hands on it. He stretched it 47", chopped 3" from the windows and then added a 1941 Ford cabover grille which he turned upside down.
