Shortly after the Ford Mustang was introduced three guys decided that the car should be available in a two door wagon version. They packed up a new Mustang coupe and shipped it to Construzione Automobili Intermeccanica in Turin, Italy. They worked their magic on the car and shipped it back to the US. Ford saw the car and rejected the idea because apparently their design department had already explored that possibility. Apparently the Intermeccanica wagon vanished but several knockoffs have been made. Motor Trend ran a story on the Mustang wagon in 2016 and you can read it
here.
