Citroen Radar

Robert Radar was a French Citroen dealer. In 1956 he rebodied the 2CV and sold it as a Citroen Radar. He sold about 20 of them as well as selling 40 bodies to people to build their own. A Belgian Citroen importer sold the Radar between 1959 and 1962.

1919 Morgan TT Grand Prix

HFS Morgan decided to participate in the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT) event racing the in the Cyclecar category. The special MAG engine is air cooled with eight valves and a displacement of 1,078cc. it had a two speed gearbox as was appropriate for Morgan at the time. The GP designation was due to a longer chassis and a very low center of gravity. The brakes were improved by fitting a larger brake drum. The racer would have performed well but the event was canceled due to the outbreak of WWI. The car reappeared in 1919 for the Stile Kop hill climb. He won his category "cars with passengers" by crossing the finish line at more than 88 km/h.

I am quite fond of the early 50's Studebakers but this makeover is interesting.

Ohio 1906

The information accompanying this photograph was that there were only two cars registered in Ohio in 1906 and they had the misfortune to have met. I don't believe that to be true on two fronts: Surely there were more than two cars registered in Ohio in 1906 and obviously these vehicles were much later than 1906.

Henney Packard

I am unsure of the year but it appears to be a 1951 or 1952 Packard. The coachbuilder was Henney and they built it as a proposal for hotel and resort service. They only built one. It was 21 feet long and could accommodate 12 passengers.

Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941

2403 Americans were killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor. December 7th marked the day that the United Stares entered WWII. US flags should be flown at half staff on this day to honor those who were killed.

Goggomobil Carry All

The exceedingly rare Carry All (14 produced?) was powered by a 400cc 2 cycle engine which based on it size and weight made it a fairly robust performer. The Goggomobils were made in Germany between 1955 and 1969. They were available as sedans, coupes, transporter vans, and Darts. Read more about the company and their offerings here.
