Le Nain Gourmand



Following WWII The Tour de France included a publicity caravan featuring popular brands. In 1954 Le Nain Gourmand had this vehicle built on a 1951 
Renault truck chassis. It was going to be a part of the fourth stage caravan but was so popular the company decided to carry on until the end of the race in Paris. As it traveled along the route they handed out sweets to the children. In 2009 it sold at auction for 46,000 Euros.

Da Tomaso Guara


First introduced at the Geneva Auto Show in 1993. Only 52 cars were produced. Ten were open top cars called Barchettas, four were roadsters with a folding soft top (Spyders) and thirty eight were coupes. Read the story here.

Lamborghini 400 GT Monza


The 400 GT Monza was based on Lamborghini's 400 GT. The unique bodywork was done by the shop of Neri and Bonacini who had also done work for Ferrari.

Volkswagen Schwimmwagen


The Schwimmwagen was the most widely produced amphibious vehicle ever made. 15,000 units were made during WWII. Not many survived and they are highly sought after by collectors. Additional photos are here.

Fast


 The Aspark Owl has been under development since 2018. The electric car is a Japanese design that will be built in Italy. There is a planned run of 50 units at $2.7M each. They claim a 0-60mph time of 1.72 seconds, 0-186mph in 10.6 seconds and a top speed of 260mph. The range is said to be 250 miles. A full charge can be done in 40 minutes.

Gyrocar

 


The original concept of the two wheel automobile was described in a fiction book in 1911 and the first prototype was commissioned in 1912. It was produced in 1914 by the Wolseley Tool and Motorcar Company in England. Additional information available here.
