1937 Packard "Land Yacht"

Henri Chapron designed this vehicle for Louis Reard in 1948. Reard was the inventor of the bikini swim suit. He used the Packard as an advertising piece. It followed the Tour de France route with several bikini clad models displaying Reard's creation.

This one off creation has only had three owners and was last shown in public in 1987. It is coming up for auction on February 7 and 8 at Artcurial's Retromobile 2025 event. Additional information at Driving.

1958 Edsel Roundup

Obviously Edsels are rare, and wagons even more so. They were only produced for one year and only 963 Roundups were made. More about Edsels can be found on Wikipedia.

I took a quick look and came up with Ford's offering in 1958. This is their Ranch Wagon. It was offered in 2 and 4 door versions. The 2 door Ranch Wagons had a total run of 34,575 units.

1960 Zunder 1500

The Zunder 1500 was a fiberglass bodied car produced in Argentina. It was powered by a drive train from Porsche- the same powertrain as the Porsche 356. Only 200 cars were made. The financial backing needed to establish a sales and service network never materialized and the company failed after one year.
