Citroen Centipede

This vehicle resides in the Michelin corporate museum.  It was built in 1972 to test truck tires.  It is powered by two Chevrolet 454's.  One engine was used to power the vehicle while the other was to power a test tire mounted in the center of the vehicle.  It was capable of speeds up to 110 mph.  Lead was added to bring its weight to 21,000 lbs

Land speed record holder

In 1935 David Jenkins set a land speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats with a speed of 67.677 mph using a 1932 Allis Chalmers Model U.

That record held for 81 years before Jack Donohue set a new record of 96mph in 2015 with a 1952 Ford 8N.  Donohue is a former NASCAR driver with a farming background.  He built and drove the Ford which was repowered using a Ford flathead V8.
